Senator John Asaf of Georgia, a Democrat who's on the short list for possible Democratic candidate for president, though he denies he's going to do it, but he's totally going to do it
we are now in a protracted, in my opinion, years long conflict. I do not think that this will end by the time Donald Trump is present. It ends his presidency.
He believes that will lead them to give up concessions at the negotiating table. I think it is far more likely that it leads them to escalate. I think that is a much more likely outcome here.
Real surrender is going to be, here's your money, reopen the strait, you get to charge your tolls, we walk away, and the Saudis and everybody else will phase out our bases over time. That's actually what's going to happen eventually.
The groundwork that Trump is laying is coming from the reality that he probably can't win this war by any real definition. He's going to walk away seemingly with no nuclear deal.
I think it is now relatively obvious that Senator Mitch McConnell is never coming back to the United States Senate. Now, of course, his name might stay attached to the seat until January. Formally are strictly speaking, he will be one of the two senators from Kentucky. His staff may keep putting out written statements supposedly dictated by Mitch McConnell or whatever. We may even get another carefully staged picture. But in every meaningful sense, like in the sense of is he going to be acting as senator in his capacity to represent the Kentucky people? Of course not.
based on him going public, I worry that he will probably be forced out or fired like many of the other top generals and admirals that the Trump regime has pushed out
Hey, good news. We've got to deal with Hamas. That's gonna actually liberate Gaza. Bad news, it involves Israel so there's no chance it's going to happen.
The whole world is in a war right now, whether it's Russia strikes on Ukraine and Kyiv killing at least nine people. I think it'll probably be closer to 15 to 20
announcing this like oh it's gonna be great come on you're gonna end up with egg on your face because the palisinians are not gonna or or the israelis maybe maybe they'll break the ceasefire someone's gonna throw a rock and so i'd if guys and be like blam you know like that happens all the time too
I also reported earlier that China is providing multiple, you know, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of those man-pad shoulder missiles that will be going to Iran.
But now it looks like that escalation is on hold. And I am not dumb enough to think that it's over. Trump realizes we've depleted our military assets and as a result, maybe we should just call it a day and walk away. I think that this war will continue.
now they've been able to assert control over the Strait of Hormuz, very likely guaranteeing themselves as sort of endless stream of revenue from cargo ships, transiting the Strait of Hormuz
you may be able to cause some more damage to Iran. You're not going to accomplish regime change or anything that you've thought you can do far from it.
So now they're going to blow up the pipelines that try to do any end run around these straight of hormones while also choking off the Red Sea through the Babel Mandab Strait.
I mean, whatever the possibility of doing that was five months ago and it didn't work and I don't think Trump was ever going to do quite enough. Well, I'm not sure he could have, honestly, but I don't think he's going to do it now.
I'm very skeptical of this possibility of new negotiations because I don't think that the landscape for Trump has really shifted. He is not going to be willing to accept what the Iranians are willing to give at this point.
This would be an insane thing, and it looks like it's going to happen. Trump is now saying that Republicans should add Iran to the Russia sanctions bill.
they're not being destroyed they're not being obliterated they don't want to make a deal they have every incentive right now there's no deal to be made with trump
A key provision would have American companies build a uranium enrichment facility in Saudi. If a joint US Saudi study determines such a step would be warranted. Now, I assume that that joint study will never assume that that step would be warranted long term.
And they're still pushing this narrative that the Persians are just all set to overthrow the regime. That ain't happening. Not unless you break them a financial, and that's going to take a while.
No, you bomb them more, and Iran has been very carefully climbing the escalatory ladder, responding. No, Iran will respond. They're not going to want to do a deal.
we've had some national security sources friends of the show say they believe that the u.s will be at war in the next few years a major war with china i believe it
No, he's gonna do something wild and rash and terrible, and likely put in ground troops. And then after we suffer terrible consequences, then likely he'll run. That's my estimation of how it'll go.
Yeah, so I tend to think that the Carg Island things have left that they're going to go and try to put ground troops around the Strait of Hormuz and try to control the Strait and they keep talking about it.
We're not going to be sending one hundred hundred fifty thousand ground troops into a rum. It's just not going to happen. There's no will on our side to do it politically or militarily.
And eventually, my guess is, and this is a bold prediction and saying it on day one of the reemergence of the third section of the Iran war, that eventually will lead us to cutting off our alliance with Israel entirely.
You have this escalation which appears to be prepping for an inevitable ground invasion whether that's special forces plus additional troops or just special forces will will see but I foresee I'm just giving you my opinion there that the setup is happening for that
if they're meeting down there in Oman, trust me, the pirates that control the Hormuz, I don't think are coming out with a, okay, fine. Everybody goes, we're not going to charge because they're pirates.
Yeah, it's D-O-A. I never got to sign anything. Trita told us months ago, they're never going to sign anything. It's the Persians. They're going to negotiate about the rugs for years. So you're not going to get a sign.
You would figure that they hate the Jews the most, they would fire at Israel. Nope. They're not going to do that because they're afraid of what Israel would do in response.
if you look at the memorandum of understanding, it says that Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz along with the Arab nations decide on the future transit that it is an Arab nation decision, not a United States, but the Trump regime will continue to violate the MOU try to open up that route in Oman
And so you could betray America, I don't mind, in a thousand different ways. But if you don't do exactly as Israel orders, I'll vote with the Republicans. So he's gonna vote with them if they need the voter and even if they don't need the vote.
And by the way, you think they're not going to arm those drones? You think those terrorists aren't going to arm those drones and start murdering civilians at a more efficient pace? Come on, they're vicious religious lunatics. Of course they're going to arm them.
Rashida Tlaib, in fact, she's pushing for a war powers resolution in regard to Lebanon. I don't think it's gonna go anywhere. I think they're gonna block that as well.
Now, another thing to keep in mind, Cenk, is that it is very likely that following the destruction of US military bases in these Gulf countries, the US will probably end its presence in these Gulf countries.
That's, that's the where it's going to go because President Trump will play hardball on this. He's shown that in response to the tariff rulings that he doesn't just accept, oh, I lost. Okay, it's over. He's going to find another way of narrowing this field.
It has now become sort of Israeli policy that they are weaning themselves off of the American military assistance over the next two or three years and there will be none left.
And again, all this is going to lead to is the strain of her moves being shut down and the US being dragged back into war. That's just the objective reality.
Because right now as we speak, Iran and Oman are formalizing their plan for how they'll charge for transit through the Strait of Hormuz. So I don't think toll free transit is in our future anytime soon.
The Strait of Hormuz would take to keep it open would take two carrier strike forces, paratroopers and Marines on the ground on Iranian soil. That is not going to happen.
Now it looks like we're trying to arbitrate that and these two groups are going to go at each other and Syria is going to get into it because you know what? It's just the way it is.
We got this, the quote unquote, deal, which I think now we're bound and determined to give the Persian $6 billion of cash money on pallets. Maybe somebody can be talked out of that at the last second.
They are going to blow up that mountain in southern Lebanon. They're going to blow it up. It's going to happen. I don't know when, but it is going to happen
