So the House is in danger. It's probably going to fall to Democrats.

My guess is Haba, if Trump wants this biggest spectacle, Kelly would be for stability and Jennings, if Trump can persuade him to surrender his lucrative TV work.

But the potential to end Trump's presidency in practice simply by taking the house, which seems more likely than not, no matter what happens in the Senate, we don't know by what margin, but by some margin taking the house, this is going to send Trump for a loop.

The groundwork that Trump is laying is coming from the reality that he probably can't win this war by any real definition. He's going to walk away seemingly with no nuclear deal.

I do think ultimately he was he is going to have to at least drop out of his reelection campaign. Maybe not resign, but even Republicans are turning on him.

I think it is now relatively obvious that Senator Mitch McConnell is never coming back to the United States Senate. Now, of course, his name might stay attached to the seat until January. Formally are strictly speaking, he will be one of the two senators from Kentucky. His staff may keep putting out written statements supposedly dictated by Mitch McConnell or whatever. We may even get another carefully staged picture. But in every meaningful sense, like in the sense of is he going to be acting as senator in his capacity to represent the Kentucky people? Of course not.

I've talked about that, but this is not a plan that is going to boost manufacturing jobs in the United States.

If he doesn't, which he's presenting none, he is undermining an election because he wants an excuse if voters reject him, which they almost certainly are going to do.

Is Iran likely to succeed in assassinating Melania or Barron Trump? I think the answer is no. Both are protected by the Secret Service.

Alex Jones is just furious over the Iran war and he says the administration is preparing to reinstate the draft and launch this massive ground invasion. I don't think they're about to reinstate the draft.

Food prices projected to rise another 3.1% this year, another 3.1% next year. Now, I always say, hold elected officials accountable to their promises. Trump said grocery prices would come down while also saying the entire concept of grocery affordability is a scam. But he said the prices would come down and instead they're going to go up.

I don't I'm not holding my breath for that health care plan. I hope you aren't either.

Maybe they will retain the house, probably not. Maybe they will retain the Senate, probably. You know, there's uncertainty to elections.

Now, will those efforts succeed? Probably not. Elections are administered by states. Presidents can't cancel them.

Now James Comer is not going to pursue this. Of course, House Republicans have no appetite for investigating anybody connected to Trump.

Beshear has suggested maybe he will challenge that, but that would open up a legal fight, very uncertain. I highly doubt it leads to an automatic Democratic appointment, probably not before the next person is sworn in.

Well, to some degree, Republicans are realizing that bill is going to go over like a lead balloon with a lot of people and is realistically only going to drag down Republicans in November. They don't want anything to do with it. At least some of them. But Trump is losing patience. Well, I think Trump is simply going to have to wait.

Republicans are going to put these clips everywhere. People seem crazy when they see this stuff and they are going to take, abolish the police and abolish borders and abolish prisons and play them on a loop for six months.

We now need to deal with the unfortunate reality that Donald Trump appears to be preparing to declare an emergency in advance of the November midterm elections.

Will grants go to organizations campaigning against government's Trump dislikes? Will the money go to media outlets that are aligned with the candidates Trump supports in other countries? The answer is almost certainly yes.

And I can imagine a scenario where, I mean, listen, it seems increasingly unlikely, but maybe the Iran war really does end by August 15th and then Republicans have something a little more positive to spin for their midterm convention

It is increasingly looking like a blue wave bloodbath for Republicans in November.

Unless Trump dies, he'll be president the next two years. We can't change that.

This obsession with 2020 is going to sort of culminate tonight with a prime time, if nine p.m. Eastern is prime time speech from the president, where we don't know exactly what he's going to say. But it seems as though it is going to be based on the false claim that he did win in 2020.

And when he tries to separate himself from Trumpism, if he inevitably runs for the nomination in 28, maybe against JD Vance, we need to have the scaffolding to remind people

My prediction is that there are no charges ever, at least in so far as Trump's narrative holds or doesn't hold about all of these crimes being designed to hurt Donald Trump

And no matter how hard Trump and MAGA try, we are going to show up and vote and win by margins too big to rig in November. I believe it's going to happen.

And thus, he will ask or roll out something related to the midterms and November.

But it seems as though it is going to be based on the false claim that he did win in 2020.

And this reinforces my belief that Donald Trump plans to announce some very serious voter suppression techniques.
