This blog exists for the express purpose of getting a portion of my writings into some sort of circulation among potential readers. Works of fiction and nonfiction live here side-by-side spanning a smattering of topics and genres.
And yeah, some fan fiction.
The name of the blog comes from a short story I wrote in high school. At the time I was very impressed by my ability to manipulate language to suit my needs, and Latin was just the latest conquest.
I have a M.A. in Art History (2015) from George Mason University, for which I wrote my thesis on the role the imagery of twins played on succession planning in early Imperial Rome. I still have an interest in the ancient world, but it has become more generalized. I am currently exploring the evolution of religious thought in the West – namely Christianity – from the time of early Homo sapiens to the concerns of the present.
